Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how the developer of Sanguine Siege ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with Sanguine Siege (the "Game"), available on Android.
We are committed to being transparent about the data collected through the Game and by our third-party advertising partner. By playing Sanguine Siege, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect
Sanguine Siege does not require you to create an account. Within the Game itself, we do not directly collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
Date of birth (age verification): When you first launch the Game, we ask for your date of birth. It is stored only on your device, is never transmitted to us, and is not used to identify you. We use it solely to apply age-appropriate advertising settings — for example, requesting that Google AdMob disable personalised ads and advertising-ID use for players under the applicable age.
However, our advertising partner Google AdMob may automatically collect certain information when you interact with ads displayed in the Game, including:
Device advertising ID (Google Advertising ID)
IP address
Device type, operating system version, and language
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, rewards earned)
App usage information for ad personalisation
Diagnostic and performance data (app and SDK performance, including crash and error logs)
Your game progress is saved locally on your device only. No gameplay data is transmitted to our servers.
If you contact us through the contact form on our website, we collect the name and email address you provide so we can respond to you. These submissions are processed by our website host (Squarespace) and are not used for advertising or shared with third parties.
Advertising Choices & Opt-Out
You can limit ad personalisation or opt out of interest-based advertising at any time:
Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID, or enable "Opt out of Ads Personalisation"
Opting out will result in non-personalised ads being shown. The Game remains fully playable.
Data Retention & Security
Your local game save data is stored only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the Game. Data collected by Google AdMob is retained in accordance with Google's own data retention policies.
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information processed by third-party services. You may contact us using the contact form for any questions.
How We Use Information
The information collected by Google AdMob is used to:
Display relevant advertisements within the Game
Measure ad performance and effectiveness
Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
Detect and prevent fraud
We use advertising revenue to support the ongoing development of Sanguine Siege. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
Rewarded Advertisements
Sanguine Siege includes optional rewarded video advertisements. These ads are entirely voluntary — you are never required to watch an ad to continue playing. Watching a rewarded ad grants in-game benefits such as a second chance to continue your run.
When you choose to watch an ad, Google AdMob processes data in accordance with their own privacy policy. You may opt out of personalised advertising at any time through your device settings.
Third-Party Services
The Game uses Google AdMob to serve advertisements. Google operates independently and is governed by its own privacy practices. We encourage you to review:
No other third-party analytics, social, or tracking services are used in the Game.
Children's Privacy
Sanguine Siege is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
If a player indicates they are under 13, or under the age of digital consent in their country, the Game instructs Google AdMob to apply child-directed (TFCD) or under-age-of-consent (TFUA) treatment, so only non-personalised, age-appropriate ads are served and the device advertising ID is not used.
Your Rights (US)
If you reside in California or another US state with applicable privacy laws, you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information. You can manage these choices through the in-app privacy options and your device's ad settings; data processed by Google AdMob is subject to Google's privacy practices.
Your Rights (EEA & UK)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have certain rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. As we do not directly store personal data, requests relating to AdMob data should be directed to Google. You may contact us using the contact form for any questions.
When the Game is first launched, you may be shown a consent dialogue managed by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent for personalised advertising as required by applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
